Merdeka - Major acquisition in the nickel mining and refining sectors

PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk ("MDKA") has announced that it will invest USD374 million into PT Hamparan Logistik Nusantara ("HLN"). HLN recently completed the acquisition of one of the world's largest pre-production nickel resources and two operating nickel RKEF plants. The acquisition also included a 32% stake in the Indonesia Konawe Industrial Park, a joint venture with Tsingshan Holding Group to develop a future nickel-focused industrial estate, as well as several projects that support the overall nickel processing chain.
